Meet Andy

Andy Bixler has connections and experience across the Mountain West.

Andy has spent nearly a decade serving clients and principles in Colorado, Montana, and Idaho including U.S. Senators, candidates for governor and Congress, advocacy organizations and and state legislative leadership. He leads projects that shape narratives and build awareness and support, and has extensive experience in sensitive, highly-public crisis communications. Andy also provides strategic legislative, political, and government relations services.

Before founding Westslope Strategies in 2024, Andy served as Communications Director for the Colorado Senate Majority Caucus, where he developed and executed dozens of community engagement and public relations campaigns while serving as chief spokesperson for the Caucus.

Prior to that, Andy served in multiple communications roles in Montana and on Capitol Hill as an aide to U.S. Senator Jon Tester, and he has served in senior roles on campaigns for governor and Congress.

Andy also worked as a reporter for his hometown newspaper, the Missoulian, and holds a BA in Journalism and MA in Political Science from the University of Montana.

He lives in Denver, CO with his wife, Megan, and their dog, Ruca.
